Everything you need to know about Storyville Letters — from how it works to shipping, gifting, and cancellation.
Storyville Letters is an epistolary fiction subscription. Each month you receive two physical letters written in-character from inside an original story — a mystery, romance, or historical adventure. Over 12 months, 24 letters unfold a complete, novel-length narrative delivered straight to your mailbox.
Epistolary fiction is a story told entirely through letters, diary entries, and correspondence. Every Storyville letter is written as if from a character inside the story, making you feel like a participant rather than just a reader.
No. A book club sends existing published books. Storyville Letters delivers an original serialized story written exclusively for subscribers, arriving as two physical letters per month over 12 months. There is no book to buy — the letters are the story.
Most subscription boxes send physical products like candles or snacks. Storyville Letters delivers an unfolding original story. Each letter is written in-character, pulling you deeper into a mystery or romance. It's less about receiving things and more about experiencing something.
Each letter arrives as a physical printed dispatch on quality paper, complete with a real postage stamp. Depending on the season, you may also receive extras like maps, newspaper clippings, hand-drawn sketches, or hidden clues tucked inside the envelope.
Yes. Storyville Letters are designed to be enjoyed by readers of all ages, from younger explorers to seasoned literary adventurers.
Each season is a single, complete story with its own world, characters, and genre. Right now, two seasons are available: Season I — Secrets of the Lost Manor — is a mystery romance set in a crumbling 1920s English country manor, full of forbidden love, buried secrets, and dangerous intrigue. Season II — Veil of the Midnight Waltz — is a Victorian mystery set in the gaslit streets of 1874 London, where a stolen treasure and whispered secrets pull you into a labyrinth of lies and loyalty. A third season, Yours Truly, Ivy, is arriving soon.
You can begin with any season. Each is a complete, self-contained story with its own characters and setting. There is no required reading order.
Each season runs for 12 months and consists of 24 letters delivered twice a month. Think of it as a novel-length story that arrives at your door one chapter at a time.
Expect an eclectic mix of daring adventures, historical mysteries, whimsical fables, and remarkable characters. Each letter promises to transport you to extraordinary realms — both real and fantastical — with unexpected twists and turns along the way.
